How can i fix a crack in the bottom of a fiberglass bath tub?

call the plumbing houses around town....one of them can recommend a qualified aqua glass repair man...for a nominal fee he will fix it and he has all the right stuff..dont use siliconeHow can i fix a crack in the bottom of a fiberglass bath tub?
Caulk will degrade.





Fiber glass resin, or epoxy resin, both are clear,. mix with a catalyst, ande will adhere to the tub as well as seal the void.

USE SILICON, THEY EVEN HAVE IT IN DIFFERENT SHADES TO MATCH THE TUB
You can try to fix it with epoxy resin and fiberglass, but it probably won't last, since you will still have a weak spot that will want to flex and continue the crack.


Be sure to prep the area before applying the patch. Might try to drill a small hole at the ends of the crack to keep it from continuing to crack. Good luck!
