What do plumbers use to unclog the clogged bath tub?

this is a common question

caustic soda or one shot which will clear the drain perfectly

Warning follow all instructions to the letter these are both chemicles but certainly cheaper than a plumber or $100 tools that might not fix the job.

it is called a hand top auger. a good one will cost about 100 bucks. not including the drill. What do plumbers use to unclog the clogged bath tub?
they rod it through the overflow
They use a snake-they don't use chemicals because if they don't work, then they have to deal with chemicals.

Snakes always work, and are not that expensive, so my suggestion would be to buy a small one that attaches to a regular drill. push it down, drill (Slowly), then push some more, drill.

Works every time.

There are two possible places it could be plugged. The screen is commonly plugged by hair. The screen can usually be removed with a hook. You may find quite a batch of hair connected to it.

The second is the trap ( a little less likely). That you get to via the over flow, which can be removed. Get the $100 tools or use a 2 foot piece of stiff wire with a hook on the end to try to snag anything hairy or loosen anything else.

Put it back together and that should do it.
