No the battery will short and not produce voltage. It would take a very large battery to be capable of hurting you, you can draw enough current from a car battery to kill a person . but it is unlikely. There must be batteries somewhere that will do that, but I haven't seem them yet that were small enough to lift. Maybe a car battery thrown on your head could do it, but nothing in normal household batteries.
